Robotic Assisted Kidney Transplant with Ileal Conduit

Description

Robotic Assisted Kidney transplant [RAKT] is itself a complex surgical procedure, with very few centers across the world are performing it routinely. Open kidney transplant [OKT] is preferred way of performing the procedure.

We performed RAKT with complete intra-corporeal anastomosis of two arteries of the graft kidney along with partial cystectomy and Ileal conduit.

Postoperative renal functional outcomes were very good despite complexity of the procedure.

RAKT compared to OKT has comparable or even better renal functional outcomes with added advantages of minimal access surgery.
