Description
Minimal invasive surgery has become standard of care in treating oncological cases. Da Vinci Robotic systems have got 7 degrees of freedom, higher magnification and 3D vision revolutionizing the oncological outcomes. Indocyanin Green Dye (ICG) has been known for its fluorescence and has varied applications. Incorporation of ICG Firefly technology in da Vinci Robotic systems have found its way in various applications owning to its properities of being safe, not radioactive and easily picked up by near infrared rays.
In our center, we use ICG firefly technology for sentinel lymph node harvest in endometrium, dynamic mapping of the lymphatic system in colorectal and gastric cancers, checking for the conduit viability, line of transection and identification and mapping of thoracic duct in esophageal malignancy.
In this video, we intend to describe all these techniques and its outcomes as we find this technology is a way forward.
