Retroperitoneal Lymph Node dissection (RPLND) after chemotherapy becomes very challenging in view of severe desmoplastic reaction which increases complications and a need for adjunct surgery (vascular, intestinal injuries, nephrectomy). Fear exercised in the minds of surgeons concerning the morbidity of open RPLND has now been laid to rest by the new minimally invasive techniques. We describe our cumulative experience and technique of RPLND performed robotically in a Post Chemotherapy setting with an intraoperative vascular injury managed successfully.
