Single Port Robot-Assisted Kidney Transplantation: Extraperitoneal Approach

Description

Through a 5-cm peri or infra-umbilical incision, the extraperitoneal space is developed and an access port is placed. The single port (SP) robot is docked and the external iliac artery and vein are carefully dissected. The donor kidney is prepared and inserted into the recipient through the access port. The vascular anastamosis and ureteroneocystostomy are performed, followed by wound closure.
