About the Competition
The KS International Innovation Awards is a global competition recognizing innovations that combine surgical expertise, robotic technology, artificial intelligence, and data science to improve patient care.
Selected submissions also help shape the agenda for the Innovation in Medicine Summit, an international symposium that brings together leading surgeons, scientists, engineers, and educators to discuss innovations with the potential to advance the standard of care. The summit also features original work in surgical education and training.
Who should Submit?
Surgeons, researchers, and innovators are encouraged to submit work that demonstrates:
- Improved patient outcomes through robotic-assisted surgery
- New surgical techniques or technologies
- Innovations with the potential to become standard of care
- Advances in telemedicine, simulation, or surgical training
Preference is given to submissions supported by well-analyzed outcomes data and high-quality graphics or animations.
Submission Requirements
Each entry includes:
- An 8-minute high-definition video narrated in English covering:
- Purpose
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- A 250-word abstract
- A $35 USD submission fee

Entrants compete for more than $50,000 USD in cash prizes, including the People's Choice Award.
Outstanding submissions will also be considered for presentation at the Innovation in Medicine Summit, held 20–21 February 2027 in Visakhapatnam, India. Symposium presentations are selected competitively based on scientific merit and alignment with the program agenda.
Judging begins after the September 30, 2026 submission deadline and is conducted by practicing and retired surgeons with expertise in the relevant specialties.
